Re: d16z6 stroker kit (tambara)
A d-series are suppost to have a long stoke in them to begin with so it be hard to go bigger but can be done if the price is right. i have heard of people put in LS rods but i never look into it myself, i would have to say it would be cheaper to built a turbo kit i built mine for $1200 and i push 204whp.

its a waste of money to stroke a d series. and honestly, its a waste of money to try and make a d series all motor. save your money and buy a turbo kit.

LS rods are the same length as D series rods. People just use them because they are stronger.

word, dun care what u say, unless u got money to just THROW away then go try to do 160whp NA
If you take 5k that you'd be building the NA D16 with and get a long block w/ a turbo, tune, and reinforced internals pushing 200whp...and still have 3500 left over O.o

Re: (Syndacate)
there are people making 160 whp with d-series motors using mainly oem honda parts to do it. it doesn't take a huge amount of money to make power just a lil research and tuning, seach around, look up built hatch, spades, and mistabone. i know built hatch made 160 whp using mainly honda parts. also chk out d-series.org

made me want to go na, and the fact i can do it slowly and with a turbo, ill be powerless for the next 2 years or so cus you have to fork it out all at once, damn college. 160 is a nice goal for me now na, but after school, im going to build a y8 for full turbo and shoot for 225+.

you shouldnt have to build a y8 for 225. im at 8 psi right now and just shy of 240whp. If your going to build one shoot for 300's

You wanted those numbers form a Z6, and I presented you with a way to do it, considering you wanted a stroker. There is more than one way to get greater than 91 octane gas, just not at the pump. Check my sig. You will see I am running a 94.4mm stroke Z6 at 10.2:1 static compression and around 17:1 dynamic under boost. I'm in Oceanside, about 85 miles south of you, so I have the same fuel available to me.
For the cost of someone else's time to build and tune this type of setup, and your desire for pump gas convenience, you are probably better off with a B18C swap.

bump the compression, use 1st gen 'teg pistons/rods
EDIT:
PS:, you do realize that your engine doesn't really have 125 hp, right? That's at the flywheel, your ground hp (whp) is probably around 90-95...just makin sure u know that incase u were shootin for 160 from 125...
