D16Z6 rebuild kit / gasket kit
So i've finally made up my mind on what kind of swap / setup I want for my DD.
I'm going to pickup a z6 this weekend, and before I put it in my car I want to replace all the gaskets / belts and maybe get into replacing pistion rings / bearings.
the motor will see boost, and it has equal compression accross the board and no known problems - worth replacing the bearings / pistion rings? and if I do that would i need to get the block re-honed and the crank balanced / polished?
I've been seeing alot of aftermarket gasket kits, and frankly I want to go with all OEM gaskets.
Does anyone know of a place where I can order a complete OEM gasket kit? Or have any advice as to a good quality aftermarket kit?

Majestic Honda.
As for your boost stuff, I dont really know, but aren't you supposed to use a low compression engine with that? If so, then you will have to completely rebuild.
Costs a lot, but at least you know its solid.

Nah, I'm going to boost a stock z6.
Majestic Honda offers a kit? I know you can get honda parts from them, but I'm not down for trying to find every gasket I need on those tiny *** diagrams.

i'm a fan of the honda parts store, just another dealer than offers parts online, only better pricing and longer hours, but all the same stuff, ie, OE parts. Felpro makes quality as well, they have been in the gasket game for ages. Lastly, ROL they make gaskets and some odd stuff, they are cheap, but make quality.

if you replace the rings the you MUST have the block honed. AND if you are doing that then it would probably a good idea to go ahead and get everything else checked out(main bores, deck, make sure everything thats flat is flat, round is round, straight is straight) this will make sure you have a good starting point to build on. likewise have the rotating assembly checked out is a very good idea. balancing is a good idea but not exactly needed. these engines redline at 7200 factory. so thats fine all day long as long as you dont go much higher. the compression of a stock motor is fine for boost

lots of good reliable setups using that combo. FJT is a sponsor on onecamonly.com, the site is relatively new, but there is a lot of in depth tech there. I'll be using the FJT master gasket kit on my built Z6. From my experience with oil seals etc, it's kind of hard to mess up. All the "honda" parts that you get from the dealer are going to be contracted out anyways, but then again OEM is really for peace of mind and a guaranteed part (although you'll probably have a hard time getting the parts warrantied if u install them yourself.)
