Default d16z6 question

Will a distributor from a d15b (jdm sohc vtec) fit on a d16z6 or are the mounting holes different? Thanks for your time.

It may fit but it will not work. The cam key is different, unless they are the same part number, and I doubt that.

Head cast numbers are the same...both p08's

The part number for the Z6 dizzy is 30100-P08-006

I'd assume they are the same distributor

Head does matter in fit yes, but so does the cam cause it drives the Dizzy.

D15Z1 dizzy is also 30100-P08-006

So if what you're saying is correct, then the Z1/Z6/JDM D15B dizzys are the same

How sure are you of this? The last thing I want to do is waste my money on the wrong part.

Thx

the head is the same, therefore mounting points are the same.

I can make almost any d b maybe even h series dizzy fit inside the cam grooves, plus I heard of some one using the jdm d15b cam in their z6.
