Default D16z6 possible headgasket

Alright I'll try and keep this simple and basic.
Just did a full d16z6 bottom end rebuild(0 mile rebuild). Head was only resurfaced, hot tanked and new valve stem seals. New oem Honda headgasket

Okay so at about 200 miles into the rebuild(at 260atm) I noticed when I down shifted in 4th gear on the freeway a big puff of white smoke was released from the exhaust pipe. Just instantly assuming the headgasket was bad I take off the valve cover the next day and as I go to loosen the head studs I noticed they were WAY under torque. Lose even to only use my left hand(non-dominant) and loosen each bolt. Find out the torque wrench I used atm was out of spec. So I torqued
Down the head properly and it DRMATICALLY reduced the smoke. I took off the(not sure the name of it) but the bolt on the front of the block by the d16z6 stamp to fully clear out all water and there was a TINY bit of oil in it. Once I fully removed all the water the smoke is barely any at all. Almost seems like normal idle in cold weather(50degrees currently) but smokes a little more when given gas while idling.

My question is, is there any possibility that there is just still a little water stuck in the cylinders and it needs to be ran to "burn" it out and the headgasket will still be fine? The car only smoked the last 30-40 miles or so. Was never ran hard. Also will a compression test/leak down test be accurate at such a low mileage after rebuild?(260 or so miles)

Thanks,Maurice

Why did you rebuild? Did something catastrophic happen?

Bought the car with the crankshaft main pulley welded to the crank with no key and it ran like ****. Fixed the horrible misfire and the pulley fell off and shattered the crank. I use to work at car quest so I got most of the oem rebuild parts for really cheap. And my machine shop does work for me for great prices it made the most sense to rebuild since I already had the head rebuilt from a previous build and a rebuild z6 transmission

Thanks for the help guys. You can close the thread if you like, re torqued the head, new radiator and took out the bolt on the block and drained everything. Runs fine now, good compression no smoking.
