Default D16Z6 performance camshaft questions

Hey, I was researching some more options to do for my car besides the basic bolt-ons and camshaft seems to be what I'm gonna shoot for next.
I just wanted to know how well the ZEX camshafts perform from those who have them, like did it meet/exceed expectations? Also maybe any other recommended brands to look into if someone can think of any.
Other than the 3 basic bolt-ons I've also got the ACT streetlight flywheel and will be installing an ACT Stage 1 clutch kit and figured I might as well upgrade the cam while I'm at it.

Idk what exactly comes in the kit but should I order one, is there anything else in the valve train I should consider replacing/changing, like maybe the cam gear unless stock will be fine? And as far as valve springs go, I have one cam that recommends different springs be installed and the other cam doesn't recommend anything-so would stock springs do fine on this one?

And after a cam upgrade, would it be best to get the car tuned or would it be fine as is?

Alright, after further searching I think I found most my answers. Like not needing any valve train changes since it won't be going past the stock red line or an after market cam gear.

Only thing I can't find out is if I should get the car tuned or not, I've read people will do it on a turbo set up but can't really find the answer for an N/A.
And is a timing light 100% necessary? I figured aligning the timing marks up before starting the car up would be fine but idk now after reading some posts. It's most likely gonna be the ZEX 59300 camshaft, or the 59100.

Edit: And I read the cams can be a bit noisy, like the sound of a diesel engine. I get home everyday late at night, this thing gonna wake the whole neighborhood? lol

sure tune it, just spend a lot of time on part throttle stuff. that's the day to day driving and you will def notice a smoother running engine.

have you checked out a Bisi cam? from what i hear a lot on d-series.org there are a lot of guys who love him cams.
