Re: over heating issues
ok I hope this help you. Check if your radiator fan works .I know you put a new thermothat but some time they don't work specially when you buying on autozone which sensor you replace the one on thermothat or the one on the head .

I replaced both sensors, head and thermostat...my thermostat worked when I first started it up everything worked fine then but the fan only turns on sometimes I've noticed

Re: over heating issues
You should wire the fan to a switch and make sure it works like it should. Yiou can go to the parts store and get a slim fan for under $100 (probably even cheaper than that).

Re: over heating issues
This it very true I was having similar problems after doing an engine swap with over heating. I had no leaks, coolant was full and the fan worked just fine replaced all the sensors and come to find out It was something as simple as bleeding my coolant system. Start with the cheap and simple stuff first lol

Re: over heating issues
too check the complete fan system, disconnect the fan switch and use a paperclip to touch both terminals on the disconnect. the fan should should turn on right away if you have the car on, if it doesnt hook up the fan directly to the battery if it works its probably the relay if it doesnt the fan motors done. but since its heating up rediculously fast its probably the water pump

Pressure test the cooling system and do a cylinder leak down test.
