d16z6 into the 92 civic dx body..
what would i have to change to run a v tec d16z6 into the d15b7 hood? i have the p.28 computer but is everything else just plug and play?

not on a 92.
travis,
get the full swap, with harness from the z6 motor.
make sure the MAP sensor is connected because on your car it is on the firewall and on the z6 it should be on the throttle body. if you have trouble with that just PM me and ill answer it in depth.
on your 92 the VTEC is wired already up to your shock tower harness. this is why i say get the z6 with harness ready. that will make the swap plug and play. this is the simplest swap to upgrade to and i wish you luck on your first swap.

It's a direct plug and play swap like he said ^. The nice thing about the honda d-series engines is they are all pretty much the same size. You don't have to modify anything else to make it work.

yes it all seemed plug in play untill it wont get no spark or fuel lol i was going to also ask. this is a auto to manual swap my first one and the clutch pedal had 2 sensors and i didn't connect them. could this be the problem why its not doing anything? and i had to bypass the starter wire.
the dash is completely off and a bunch of stuff my friend did so maybe he forgot to connect somthing? or is this the wires???
i had the 93 coupe and drove it to the shop so the motor is good and i have everything right their to complete anything it just had a lost title.

1 plug is for the clutch start saftey switch, the other is the cruise control cancel switch on LX/EX/Si's and is used for the upshift like on US '92 - '95 CX hatchbacks, all other models only have the first switch. And so long as you by passed the neutral/park safety switch then no, all it does is cut power to the starter, has nothing to do with fuel or spark. Did you remember to connect the ground on the themostat housing, it will cause exactly the problem you are having.
I never took that ground off, I pulled the engine as one piece and only dissconnected the connectors at the shock housings.

only thing i did was pull the motor and tranny droped it in and my friend took my dash off and the fuse box and ecu so he could put the pedels in easier. and he says he didn't miss any cables but the dash is off. and its running a p-28 v tec computer out the coupe.

well if you guys tell me its plug and play then i guess ima have to over look all my work. ill update tommarow.
how would i go with wiring the map sensor because my old map sensor was firewall mounted and this d16z6 is throttle body mounted.

No point in hacking up a perfectly good EX/Si engine harness, just let the plug hang, the other end stops at the engine harness side of the shock tower plugs so its not like you have to worry about anything shorting out.
