D16Z6 INTAKE MANIFOLD
I have a custom turbo setup on my 94 ex and I am wanting to do an intake manifold soon. I am thinking the skunk 2 for $300. they say it makes 8-15 hp on a naturally aspirated car. Think it is worth it on my set-up or should I try and port match my stock one, how does it compare? or one last option: I heard that a y8 manifold is better than the z6, How much better? thanks

SKUNK2 SOHC INTAKE MANIFOLD
Available Now! The new Skunk2 Racing SOHC intake manifold substantially improves flow characteristics over the factory unit and competitive product. Skunk2 Racing¹s technically superior manifolds are engineered and designed to optimize horsepower and torque over a broad power range. With Skunk2 intake manifolds there is no loss in low-end power or torque and utilizes all factory sensors and auxiliaries. Increases wave scavenging effects, large plenum and runners to maximize horsepower, and ISO certified OEM die casting. Dyno testing has demonstrated an average 8 to 15 HP increase to the wheels on naturally aspirated applications. Accept no less! Demand the best!

Does anyone else have dyno charts on this? Is this 8 to 15 hp over a y7 or y8 manifold?

I'd like to see a dyno of a Y8 mani on a Z6, and a skunk2 mani on a Z6. just to see if it's really worth it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'd really like to know also!!

something is wrong with this....
anyway, if you just buy a $300 manifold you're not going to get your moneys worth if your head is restricting flow. doing one or the other isn't half as good as doing both...

Re: D16Z6 INTAKE MANIFOLD (97civhatch)
"On the automatic, the IACV is mounted on the throttle body and the manual has the IACV mounted on the back of the intake manifold. "
Quoted from Spade. I got a y8 intake manifod, so I know for sure the IACV is in the rear...but I'm not 100% sure about the auto one tho.

JG and Edlebrock are the same company.
Go for the Skunk 2 IM.
The Y8 would be a waste money.
...and stay away from STR.
