D16z6 Ign Coil Test
Well I wasnt sure if my coil was bad so i did the test described on http://www.jdmlyfestyle.com I wasnt sure if it was for a B series or D series engine only or is it for both. So here are my results :
My primary winding resistance is 0.0 ohm (supposed to be 0.6-0.8 ohm)
My secondary is 18.5 kohm (supposed to be 12.5-19k ohm)
Wasnt sure if the temperature supposely affect the OHM. Help?! Thanks.

when your testing for resistance, most times there is also a temp range that is specified in the test procedure. Since you have a reading of 0 i can pretty much tell you that you need a coil.

Re: (jdeemseerx)
i wasnt sure if that test was ok for D series too. Since he stated that it was tested on a B16 igniter. so it has to have some resistance when putting the multimeter on the + and - ?
