D16Z6 help. NEED HELP.
I have a D16z6 in my 1998 Honda Civic DX. It seems a rod is about to go and i still have the pistons and rods on my old D16y7. I am wondering if it is possible to do this put D16y7 pistons and rods in a D16z6 block. Would this mess anything up or cause it to run bad. Need help, thanks.

How in the world do you know a rod is about to go? .....and yes you can put Y7 pistons and rods in a Z6 block, but it will change the compression.

the rod is pinging up against my block you can hear it. Is this a change in compression for the better or for the worse. Will this make my car run better and faster or just the same or slower? thanks.
