D16Z6 with GSR Throttle body Idle problem
i just put a GSR throttle body on my 95 del sol si and it made a difference in power i could tell from the first time i took off with it.. now i just need to adjust my idle so i idle where im suppose to and not a 2500-2900 RPM's... any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. its probably simple.. but i do not know when it comes to the idle how to adjust it ive never needed to on a honda

Re: D16Z6 with GSR Throttle body Idle problem (95DelSolSI)
if you look, there should be a nice little gap underneath the throttle body that doesn't match up with your manifold. thats causing the high revving. seal that off somehow and it will idle like normal.

a friend of mine had it.. he has an LS motor in his civic and he was gonna LSvtec it and he had most the parts but then decided not to and hes been sellin the **** from it... i picked the throttle body up for $30 couldnt beat it and now my GSR intake i had fits the bore right =P and there is definatly a noticable power increase

Re: D16Z6 with GSR Throttle body Idle problem (Spade)
you may have to stretch the urethane boot on your intake to fit the GSR throttle body.. i didnt have to wory about it cause i had the GSR intake which is slightly larger i had to CLAMP the urethane boot down as much as i could to get t to hold onto the throttle body before i put the GSR one on. but i do recomend it to del sol Si owners because i have seen a difference in power. it will take a little messing with to get to work "right" but its not that hard...

Re: D16Z6 with GSR Throttle body Idle problem (Canttx)
there was no gap... i held both throttle bodies up and looked at them and everything was the exact same except for the GSR with ALOT larger bore.. my idle problem was that the throttle body needed to be taken apart and cleaned and re-lubed... it had been sitting in plastic for a while.. the throttle body was sticking and not closing all the way.. after i cleaned it up good as new it works like a charm...
