i'm not sure the timing belt is a bit loose.. it actually sits there and runs for like a minute then something clicks and it shuts off.

i had problem like this, my engine started for 30 seconds and shut off. i found out that it was the relay that clicks after the key is turned on and the CEL shut off as well as the fuel pump priming. I will be getting a new relay soon, because I have been stuck twice with the car not starting until i tap on the relay a couple times lol.

i had a similar problem when i did a swap from a d16y7 to a d16z6. the z6 would turnover and start for a couple of seconds then turn off. i realized it was the injectors. the z6 injectors are larger than the y7. i had reused the y7 because the z6 didnt plug in play to the stock harness. make sure ur using the z6 injectors otherwise u wont get enough fuel. thats all i changed and it started up fine. Hope this helps.

Change the main relay. It's good insurance anyway.
And just a thought, this made me think of a prelude I worked on once. It would intermittently shut off too with a click. Turns out it was the ignition switch in the column. If you held the key just right, it would stay running... but move the key ever so slightly, and ______.

Don't bother with a used one. New from Honda for around $35.
Wiggle the key a bit while it's running, if it shuts off, then you have your suspect.

idk about the codes, the cel has been on for a while due to the speed sensor, and if it was the timing would it crank up and run smooth for a minute? i checked the spark, and shocked the hell out of myself..

i have a couple main relays here, pull the codes just to double check, you know in case its throwing another code that u didnt know about. And as far as i know the z6 and the y7 injectors have the same flow (240cc). The relay is in the corner by the fuse panel get the car to start and put your head down there and see if that is the one that clicks
