Default d16z6 compression

what is the compression my cylinders should have on a d16z6 cuz i did a test it came out to 150-160 on every cylinder

I believe that the oem spec is 175psi or 180psi for some reason I can't remember off the top f my head

lol i also forgot to open the throttle plate wide open whould that bring it up to that range iish

It might help, also you should crank it over with all the plugs removed, crank the engine for between 3 to 5 revolutions, and if you have one I like to hook up a battery charger to keep the crank power up

ok i redid it starting from the first cylinder...1.150 2.155 3.160 4.175ish

sorry to thread jack. but wat is the proper way to check compression. i did mines today and i got 120 all cylinders. i did something wrong, or something is wrong?

Looks like you have a problem there. try putting about 2 tbl spoons of oil down each cylinder and retest the cylinder if compression comes up you have bad rings. if things don't change try doing a leak down test. If nothing happens with that you could also have a blown head gasket

yea open the rad cap and when you do leak down test hear for bubbles if you hear them you have blown head gasket

nominal : 184psi, minimum : 135psi, maximum deviation : 28psi

Hmm, when I checked mine I had 195-196 psi in all 4 cylinders. Normal?
