Icon2 D16Z6 Cam Gear Timing

Im doing the timing belt on my car next weekend and I got the usual kit (water pump, tensioner, belt, gaskets, blah blah) but I also got an adjustable timing gear to replace my stock one. I know what they do so we can skip all that, I am just wondering as to a starting position? For those of you who have them and have played with them a little, which setting seems to work best? My civic is auto so I was thinking of starting by advancing the timing a few degrees (4?) to add some more tq to get me up and going quicker. Anyone with experience with these please chime in and let me know what has worked. Also how many degrees is it safe to go in either direction to avoid a ptv collision? Thanks

Don't mess with it. Get the car on a dyno, and have it adjusted by a professional. That's the only accurate way of knowing where to set it.
