Replace like for like. Plug-n-play. Would be cheaper to replace the headgasket. Do it yourself.

I blew the head gasket. im trying to just pull out the engine over having to get my heads milled.

Peace of mind. i have low funds and i dont want to go through the whole hg job and then end up with a fucked engine. my engines already in bad shape, but my trannys still going strong, recently swapped it out too.

just cause you blew the headgasket doesn't mean the head is warped. remove it and check first. headgasket is $50 and 2 hours. engine swap is $400 plus about 6 hours. plus you get a timing belt job done too while you're at it

Look for an OBD1 SOHC Vtec ZC, or an OBD1 D15B Vtec, either will work as a drop in replacement engine.

How bad is it blown?? Coolant in oil or just a water jacket causing it to run hot/steam out tailpipe? If there is no coolant in oil and is just steaming or running hot which is what happened to my z6 and at 258k miles didnt want to spend too much so I tried a product called K-Seal it was about 15 dollars at my local parts store. Just shake it up and pour it in your rad and drive. Stuff worked like magic for me and I was skeptical about it but I didnt have much to lose. Over a 1000 miles on it and the car is still running perfectly. Hope this could possibly be of some help and save you some money. And if you do go to replace the headgasket this stuff doesnt make a mess in the engine.
