Need some help guys...

car is 98 civic ex
motor: d16z6 (yes z6)

i got the car with the the d16z6 and with a wrong dizzy i think the dizzy
was non vtec.
also it had the wrong ecu, it had p2e and its a non vtec..

when i got the car it was idleing find but had no power at all (vtec was not working)

so i got the correct ecu(p28) and correct dizzy for the d16z6,
so now it has good power and vtec works, but now it idles bad when
it warms up it starts to idle bad (like if it has a bad tps sensor)
it idles up then down real fast..

I got the timming pretty ok i belive...
what else can it be??

Could be that you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Throwing any codes?

um..i dont think its a vacume because this idle problem started to happen as soon as i swap the ecu...(forgot to mention)
i never even pooped the hood just the ecu..

could it be a possibility that that the prebious onwer some how ajusted the
idle work with the other ecu?
and now the the rite ecu is on there it is not idleling right?
