d16z6 b0ttom block and d16y8 head will it work ?
^^^^^^^ will it be more than stock single cam v-tec ? or the same ?
is it just a simple plug it up and play ?

you need either:
7 Z6 head bolts and the Y8 head bolt in the vtec solenoid area
or
7 Y8 headbolts and a Z6 headbolt where the vtec solenoid area is
i cant remember which is which, search, you'll find it

why not just stick with a z6 head? they both put out similar numbers and (to answer your question) are both sohc vtec.

do it the easy way and get a D15b7 Distributor... OBD1 = no wiring issues and bolts directly to the y8 head

I've done it before. It's more of a PITA than it's worth, and I've done this many times Getting ARP studs for the wrong setup sucks....twice
