I'm trying to help a friend get a Z1 back in one of his VX hatches to combat the gas prices around here. We found a mint one with 35k on the clock. However, there are a couple issues...
The wideband sensor is missing its calibration resistor. Anyone know the approximate range for this?
The car starts and idles a little high. When you rev it, it takes quite a while for it to drop back down. The intake manifold gasket is new, the throttle body gasket is new, all I/M bolts are tight. When we cover the throttle body completely, it still runs. However, if the PCV hose is disconnected and the nipple covered, then the throttle body covered, it dies immediately. But when the PCV is connected and the nipple is covered, it still takes a while for the revs to drop down. I don't know if this has anything to do with EGR or not, but it seems like a vacuum leak, but there isn't one. Any ideas?
Also, no codes thrown other than 48 (o2 sensor). But we fixed that with a temp calibration resistor, probably the wrong size, but I don't think that would affect the problems here.
Thanks in advance...

No clue on the price range for the resistor.
For your idle, does it flucuate or its just a high rev? Whats it at when your idle and the car is fully warmed? Sounds like a vacum leak but also doesnt because it would usually flucate all crazy. You sure that you got all the IM gasket off before you put the new one on?

High rev. The car has a Fluidyne rad. so it takes a while to get to op temp, but it still idles at 1200 RPM at opertating temp. The gasket is a NextGear (like Hondata) thermoshield gasket. We sprayed brake cleaner all around the gasket while it was running, with the throttle body covered, still wouldn't miss.
I was looking for a resistor value range, not a price range.
