cause my head on my y8 is messed up and couldn't find a y8 around my area so went and bought a y7 and don't really want to do the full swap if I can just put the y7 head on it and be perfectly running.

I know it is completely retarded to do this but I need my daily driver up and going so I don't have to miss any more work. if I can swap the d16y8 head with a d16y7 head and be able to drive the car with no issues

yes, same h/g, etc. ground the vtec pressure switch out to trick the ecu into thinking it is there, unless you like check engine lights.

It should be fine you'll just throw an engine light for VTEC solenoid and pressure switch.
