this car had a humble start untouched never painted or wrecked, no loud muffler no aftermarket intake just a solid example of the beautiful design and simplicity of the si, the car was faded as they are known for so it was time to bring it back to glory!
Those are prior to paint to see no damage, now we start with stripping the hood

Re: My 2000 civic si build
There is a a huge difference between a maaco paint job and a true paint job, prep work, disassembly, materials, quality, longevity, fit and finish which all require time and money, this car is straighter, slicker and overall better then the day it was new, there is a difference in something looking ok and looking great, something looking good now and terrible a year later which all come at a cost, and believe it or not these cars are valuable, especially stock

I don't understand any of these statements and questions. This car is fine as frog hair.

Wow, that looks great. What brand of paint did you use? $7K is cheap for that type of paint job with all that labor to do it right.

I was just curious, that's all. Spending 7K on car that is worth maybe $5000 is kind of crazy, IMO.

Re: My 2000 civic si build
So it was mostly for labor then? I could see it costing 2000-3000 bucks but 7K is alot of coin. From what i understand a maaco paint job is around $600 on average..
