Have you flushed your transmission and place new fluid in there? Usually, when you get a used engine/transmission, it's better if you place all new fluid in there, you don't know the condition of it.

Go to your local GM Dealer and pick up 2 quarts of GM Synchromesh Friction Modified. Run it for 500 miles and check if it's still hard to shift.

What are the condition of your shifter bushings?

10w30 can work, but if the tranny's been dry for a while, then it's good to use GMSMFM or at least Honda MTF.

yea we did flush the tranny when we did the swap, but u see right after i did the swap maybe 2 days i drove out here to so cal from CO non stop and been drving alot out here and havent changed or checked it. My shifter bushings i was thinkin could be the problem , i checked at my work (autozone) if we had some and we dont https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif ... i will check out that GM fluid bro https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif thanks

try bleeding it too... its easy and it may be keeping your clutch from fully disengaging

sheepey 07-27-2004 09:14 AM

Re: (sheepeg3)

id just try bleeding out the clutch like 10 more times over and over, if it dosent change anything its probably your clutch, and would it happen to be a exedy by chance?... cause we just put one of them in my friends gsr and it sounds like the same problem its hard to get into gear especially first when you want to go lol

sheepey 07-29-2004 04:58 PM

na its a ACT 6 puck.... but it just started doing this....but i will do that thanx guys much <3
