If you have a D-series in it then another D-series will physically fit in it. At the very least you will need to wire the car for VTEC.

it'd fit....just need to do some wiring...

however---- a K swap is nowhere near a "everyday swap"

I'm sure there is more wiring to be done but physically they are interchangeable.

Aside from the VTEC wiring you'll have to wire up the intake air temperature sensor from the D15 into whatever intake arm you'll be using (pic1). You'll need to reuse your D15's alternator, injectors and distributor for wiring purposes. Ignore the knock sensor on the back of the block (pic 2) and the CKF sensor by the crank (pic 3) as you won't use them on OBD1. You can use a P28 ECU and have a Y8 basemap put on it. Other than than its pretty straight forward.

i believe most del-slows came with z6's or b16's this car should be prewired for vtec already by the shock tower like 92-95 civics. id recommend a z6 over a y8 motor. the crank is notorious for spining rod bearings because it only have one oil cooling hole per rod vs. the z6 that has 2 180* from each other.

Y8 here. Have yet to spin a bearing on a boosted engine for nearly 3 years despite this "notorious" reputation they seem to have. That aside, get the Z6, so it just drops in.
You need to verify what engine you ACTUALLY have in it.

Its all about maintenance my friend, Im sure you take care of yours! there are a few minor differences between the Z6 and the Y8 the main difference is the crank Y8 has less oiling holes in the crank journals than the z6 but this in turn bumps the oil pressure so you shouldn’t have a problem keeping the bearings oiled as long as you keep plenty of oil in the pan.

@HondaPartsHero - Good info man and great pics!
