D16y8 rebuild.
Can anyone ballpark how much a complete rebuild would be for my d16y8? I'm staying N/A; No questions about it. I am just trying to figure out what is my best plan of action. I'm trying to stay under $1,000. The engine is in perfect condition, I'm just trying to push a little more power out of it without causing too much of a hole in my pocket.
Looking for brands and specs. But please try and dumb it down, i'm not good with a lot of tech lingo.

Hell you'd be better to get rid of that bearing spinning POS and just buy another d16, preferably one thats not a Y series(d16Y8,d16Y7 ect.) block. Be cheaper and probably last another 100k miles.
