Default d16y8 need advice

i can get a y8 thats been sitting in the junkyard for $75. complete intake mani. everything, i just know nothing about it and neither does anyone else there. it was in the back of a wrecked truck. it came out of an automatic. but it looks at least halfway desent. is it worth it. also i have a d15b vtec in my car right now, is it gonna gove me anyhting more than a .1 increase in displacement?

i think you would be happier with the d15b.

but i would still buy it for $75, you can use the mani and other parts

If you already have the d15b vtec, then its not worth the effort to swap. however you could pick it up, and part it out and make a profit. keep the tranny for a spare.

Definitely a steal. I would buy it in a heartbeat to part out on eBay or to sell for a mini-me conversion. You'll make your 75 bucks in no time. Should be a sound investment.
