Icon2 D16Y8 Left Lower Motor Mount

Hi,

Can anyone answer a question for me, I lost my left lower motor mount on my 97 Civic EX Coupe (D16Y8, S40). Can I drive and if I do, what may happen? Appreciate any answers?

Thanks!

Howard

Exactly which mount are we talking about here? Take a picture. Find a diagram and circle it. Tell us what mount you're actually talking about.

Sounds like a torque mount. How do you lose a torque mount?

If we're talking about the torque mount, sure for a bit. But get a new one/find your old one asap.

The mount fell off and landed on the ground below with one bolt. It fell off because it was not torqued after a tranny swap.

I personally would go buy one and install before driving or trailer to a shop and have it done. would not recommend driving it very far at all.

There's a how-to for posting images in the FAQ's sticky.
