d16y8 into d16z6 car
I picked up a 95 Civic EX with a d16z6 with a ton of miles on it, and I want to swap in something with less miles. I found a complete d16y8 minus the distributor and was wondering if that will work. Will my z6 distributor bolt into the y8? Are there any other problems I could run into?

The Z6 dizzy will not bolt up, you will need to use a D15B7/8 dizzy.
Most likely you can run it using your stock ECU and get by. For emissions they will likely just run you on the sniffer / visual for cat.
You can use the Z6 injectors or the Y8 injectors. I'd stick with the Z6 injectors as you would have to get new clips to use the Y8 ones.

anything else I would have to do? I figured I will have to extend a few wires and maybe swap some sensors, but does anyone have anymore info in it? can I keep it obd1?

Re: (JINEIL2EN)
im sorry but it'll be fine.. you'll have to get the right distrib to fit... you'll also have to change out a few different plugs and you wont be using a few of the emissions that are required on the obd2.. the p28 will work fine..

just get a distributor for a 92-95 D15B7, I'm sure you could get one reasonably cheap considering you could sell the D16Z6 one for a decent price. Also you'll want to swap the alternator from your Z6 onto the Y8 as the plug styles are different.
