d16y8 into a 96 civic ex
will any 97-98 d16y8 engine swap straight into a 96 ex without any modifications at all, or does it have to be a d16y8 out of another 96 ex?

I was always wondering what the difference was. And that might be why when you gut out the cat on the newer civics(99-01) they throw a code and the older ones dont. (96-98)
