wiring harness
oxygen sensor
ecu
tranny

I am not too familiar with CVT's but I dont think any other ECU can run it. Not sure though. The Y8 runs on 4wire oxygen sensor so you will have to change that. To run the Y8 properly, you will need a EX ECU. To get the full potential, you should change the tranny as well. There is no point in swapping unless you plan to go all the way

you need to wire up vtec
ecu
y8 head (of course)
y8 dizzy

I didnt see anything about needing O2 sensors, a tranny or a wiring harness.

I'll point you here to get more info:

Before you try to educate people you should know that write up is for a Y7/Y8 type mini-me. Y5 is a different beast. Y5 is already wired for VTEC since the Y5 is VTEC-E. And he WILL need an oxygen sensor since Y8 is 4wire and Y5 is 5wire. I ran a 4wire ECU (P28) with a 5wire oxygen sensor and it ran but like **** AND I would stall at stops. AND the CVT is not like any other automatic honda transmission and I dont think it will run off any other ECU. I am not 100% on that but fairly sure. He wont need a wiring harness but it might be easier unless he is skilled at wiring
