Default D16y8 head questions *PLEASE LOOK* tech heads

I acquired a 99 automatic y8 head and IM with 93xxx miles on it. I have some questions since this is my first sohc head buildup.

1. Is now the best time to install a skunk2 cam gear on my y8 head since its not mated to a block?

2. Where and how can I get a new VTEC solenoid for it since the one that is on it has a broken plug?

3. What other dizzys fit y8 heads and does the z6 dizzys fit and work properly?

4. Can obd0 or obd1 injectors be placed on a y8 intake manifold?

5. What can I do to clean up my y8 head and the inside of my y8 intake manifold?

Please help a first timer, thanks for your info.

1. Is now the best time to install a skunk2 cam gear on my y8 head since its not mated to a block? This is the best time to put a performance camshaft and cam gear

2. Where and how can I get a new VTEC solenoid for it since the one that is on it has a broken plug?
We have used Solenoids if you are interested, or you can go to the dealer and purchase a new solenoid

5. to get the head and IM nice and clean, just take it to your local machine shop and have them wash it.

3. other dizzy's that fit the y8 = y7, and possibly the y5

4. yes

2. honda ought to be able to sell you a new solenoid.

Make sure you have an aftermarket cam before you do that otherwise its kinda pointless...
