d16y8 flywheel question
sup h-t got a question, i have a 99 ex civic with a d15b dual stage vtec engine. now in my hands i have the original engine to this car wich is the d16y8, but before i put it on i want to know what flywheel should i put on. i got the stock one that comes with the y8 and i got the one from the d16z6, i got a friend that mess around with old school turbo cars and he tells me to put the heavier one on because of the better torque respond. what should i do guys im lost

They should both the be the same. Around 16lbs IIRC, the only one that was supposed to be different is the VX flywheel, that's supposed to be 13lbs.
As far as the heavier flywheel for boost goes though a lot of people say that.
