D16Y8 Dizzy underside coated in oil ..WTF
So I have been noticing my car is leaking a little bit of oil every time I drive the car. I replaced the dizzy about a week ago and it was fine. No issues at all. But now in the past couple days I have been getting an oil leak . The underside of the dizzy is coated with oil as well as the block where it drips from. The replaced the O-Ring .. Now I dont know what else there is that could be leaking in the general area ??? WTF

If you replaced the distributor, then that weeds out the o-ring being the problem, unless you incorectly installed it. Its either your valve cover gasket or perhaps a slight head gasket leak, theres an oil passage right nead the dizzy. i would replace the calve cover gasket first, and go from there.

I replaced the Dizzy with a used one from this forum. I bought a new o ring today it was doing the same thing. Well, I took off the cap and oil poured out of it. So Anyone know how oil got into the thing ? . It was installed correctly and I am positive of that . I cleaned it out and put it back on . It runs fine and doesn't missfire under boost or anything abnormal . So I am kinda wondering if I should buy a Brand new dizzy or what .My guess is that maybe when I had the dizzy on with the o ring it filled up and now that I replaced it with a new o ring my problem should be solved? .. Or I need a new dizzy .

if there is oil insdie the dizzy then its a o-ring. However, there is 2. Theres the first one on the shaft of the dizzy to prevent oil from coming out on the motor but there is another on the inside of the dizzy to prevent oil from going inside the dizzy
