d16y8 d16z6 parts change
So I just bought a bare d16y8 short block and I currently have a complete d16z6 sitting in the garage. What parts can I transfer from the z6 onto the y8 and what else would I need to buy to swap into a 96 civic. Civic had no engine to begin with. Only harness dizzy alternator exhaust manifold.. thanks in advance!

Re: d16y8 d16z6 parts change
You can swap over the intake manifold if the Y8 short block doesn't have it. Use the cars dizzy, alternator and exhaust manifold. You can use the Z6 injectors just remove the blue portion from inside the car injector harness plugs. The intake air temp sensor won't match up from the Z6 intake manifold so you can either swap plugs over or get an OBD2 IAT and put it in your intake arm. You'll also want an OBD2A P2P ECU if you don't have one and run the wiring for VTEC. Also you'll need to convert the 3 wire IACV to 2 wire. Check here for more info:
