D16Y8 compression?
Right now my friend calls me and he asked me to go on H-T and find out what his compression should be. How much psi should it be at on a D16Y8 motor.
TIA.
TIA.

Re: (Type SH)
He says he got 150 on all four pistons and the mechanic is telling him its normal and that's what it should be but my friend thinks otherwise and right now hes still over there and on the phone with me.

Sounds like he may have done the test wrong. I did as well. Hold it WOT with all plugs removed. My comp numbers went from 150 to 210.

No way not 11:1. More like 9:6:1 or something of the like.

Did you read the link that I posted? I got the same numbers (150) with my test, but I didn't do it at WOT. When I re-did the test, it came out to 210. 150 is an okay number for alot of motors, but Honda motors are pretty high compression, and 180 is a good number.
Is there something specifically wrong with your car that you had this test done in the first place, besides feeling sluggish?
The only way to 'fix' compression would be internal servicing, most likely rings. Read my liink to see if the mechnic did the test properly, because you may not have a compression problem at all.
