d16y8 block with P&P d16z6 head
I got a d16y8 block and a P&P d16z6 head w/ a ported mani to match the 68mm TB. I used the z6 distributor, alternator, timing belt, NGK Iridium spark plugs, alum. underdrive pulley, stage 2 cam and cam gear, and a MLS headgasket for a d16z6 motor for this setup. When i went to start the car it seems like it wants to go but nothing is happening. It is leaking some anti-freeze between the head an block and the spark plugs are also getting some anti-freeze on them. My question is does anyone know if this setup will work together with what i have and if the headgasket for the z6 works on a y8 or will i need to get a y8 headgasket? also this setup is in a 95 civic hb with obd1 ecu will there need to be any mod's done to run the y8 block w/ obd1 ecu b/c of the knock sensor or any other reason? Could to much fuel or air also be the problem for not starting, i am using a obx fuel rail, obx fuel pressure regulator, gsr injectors, an the 68mm Tb w/ a Ported mani to match the Tb? Need any help that can be given about this setup.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Z6 and Y8 have the same part number for the headgasket. At least now they do. If you have the orignal z6 headgasket I would say that you should get the newer one.
