d16y8 in 94 civic vx
i have finally got around to doing the four wire swap. school sucks. i am now running p28 computer vx wirring harness and d16 y8. and i have problems. first off cel is on. for about he first 5 minutes of driving the car just bogs around after that it feels okay but has a little bit of a timming issue. i am currently using ngk iridiums and i have a feeling those are the problem. i will switch them out this weekend. if anybody has any idea why this is happening please let me know. and also how do you get the codes for the cel.

Re: (adammilad)
don't worry about the code 10 that for OBD2.
The proper way to do this is to have the vx harness modified to fit the plugs on the new motor (that's the way i did it and it looks clean/original) or you can swap dizzys.
The code 43 means your running way too rich and that's why your bogging. Does your car emit black smoke when you get on the gas pedal? Does it smell like raw unburned fuel? This is almost 100% of the time fixed by replacing your 02 sensor. DO NOT use a cheap 02 sensor, trust me go to your honda dealer and just buy one, they're expensive for a reason!
You said you converted to the 4 wire 02, check your wiring before you replace the sensor but if you have a cheap one relace it right away. If this doesn't work, than you have to chek your fuel system...pump, regulator ect. GOOD LUCK. I suffered with this for almost a month.
