Icon2 D16y7 Rpm Problem

So I got a problem...

When i drive, usually on the highway, my rpm would jump up or down making it seem like the motor dies then suddenly goes back to normal. It happens for a split second and happens randomly. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it don't. Now it's starting to occur more often. What could be the fix? Any solutions? Could it be a sensor? IVAC? O2 sensor? Fuel Injectors? Spark plugs/wires ?

Mileage? Any check engine lights? Sounds like it could be the ignitor getting ready to go out

Milage? eh probably a lot. Has a different cluster reading 95 k. But I'm sure it's around 200k. And there is no check engine light...I wish it had one so I can figure out what is wrong with it =/ thanks though

Does the CEL work?

When were spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor last replaced?

I would tell you if I knew what CEL is. I don't know much about cars. Sorry for the inconvenience. I believe the sparks and wires were replaced Jan of 2010. Distributor? I have no idea. Never touched it.

How do you know that the CEL works? Click the CEL sticky at the top.

Remove the distributor cap and inspect the contact points inside the cap and on the rotor.

Tip #1 in the CEL sticky at the top of this subforum tells you how to check whether the CEL works.
