D16Y7 + Mobil 1 5w-20?
Hey guys, having a little complication here. I grabbed some 5w-20 Mobil 1 synthetic oil on accident for my '96 Civic with a stock D16Y7. Supposedly according to my peers, I should be running only 5w-30 and 10w-30. It's got 166k miles on it and I'm located in the Bay Area, so the weather here doesn't get too extreme. Would it be safe to run this oil in my motor? Thanks in advance.

Alright, thanks. Looks like I'm gonna have to find something to with these 5w-20's...
But out of curiousity, has anyone been running 5w-20 without problems? I may just keep these around for later use.

Had to use the reciept for a rebate offer. ;/ But it's all good, I have a friend who's gonna buy the oil off me since he needs it. I just decided to go back and grab some 10W-30 and my friends is gonna pick up the 5W-20 sometime soon. Done and done. Thanks guys.
