Default d16y7 mini me swap

I have a 2000 d16y7, can I use any year y8 head for this swap?
also is changing the ecu to p28 all i need to make the vtec kick?
I know a little about cars but not much about hondas. and do i need to change the wiring harness? or can i run the one i have?

Any year head should be fine, you can even use a z6 head from a older civic but it's a little different.

A p28 is usually recommended but you need a harness to convert from obd1 to obd2B. Make sure it's for a 99-00 not a 96-98.

I was told i'm running obd2 and must change to obd1 for this swap.
they said to get it from a 92-95.

i did this swap i had a 98 though with a d16y7 put a y8 vtec head. as far as vtec idk. i quit the swap and dropped in a gsr motor.

does anyone know forsure, when doing a mini-me swap, do you need to run an ecu with odb1 or odb 2?
