d16y7 jacked cat want exhaust
i have a 97 civic lx and the cat is infront of the engine insted of below like most.
i was wondering if i got a header and a cat cat from a different civic could i jsut relocate to O2 senors to the from and back of the new cat with out creating too much difficulty in the reading because of the added wire and electrical resistance
then get a cat back exhaust???

Yes you can do that. I had a 98 dx sedan last year that I did the exact same thing that you're talking about. The only difference was that due to the fact that my car was a dx I couldn't use the ex cat that is located under the car on that model. It was to big to fit into the molding under the chassis. I ended up having to use a VW cat. I didn't like having to do it but it worked and I never had any trouble with the ecu reading the O2 sensor.

You definately can do what you are asking. I just had an Integra cat lying around and put some new flanges on it for my application though.

I have a 2000 cx and I want to do the same thing but what should I do with the O2 sensors. Make my own extension by sodering wires in or does anyone make extensions

You can make an extension yourself if you have extra 02 connectors or you can order one from DC sports. I think the one from DC is like 20 bucks or so.
