is d16y7 intake manifold the same as d16y8 mani?

Default is d16y7 intake manifold the same as d16y8 mani?

as topic says.....just wondering if they are diff and if one has better preformance than the other?

yes, they are different. the y8 gives much better flow thus better performance. The y7 manifold has the tb sitting verticle with a small plenium area while the y8 has bigger runners, bigger plenium area and has the tb sitting horisontaly like all other honda motors. The y7 just plain sucks... hope this helps.

yeah that helps....one other questions is....if i do a mini-me swap on my y7 can i use my old y7 intake mani or do i need to get a y8 intake mani?

you need to change the intake manifold with the dizzy,ecu and the head ... if your intrested i have a whole setup for sale ...

y7 and y8 dizzy's are the same so no need to change that.
