d16y7 IACV fit on d16y8?

Check engine light came on. Computer reads IACV. Would a d16y7 IACV fit up to a d16y8 manifold? Also is possible it may just need to be cleaned? Thanks in advanced.

Automatic, or manual Y7? Automatic, or manual Y8?

ALWAYS start with removing, cleaning, and replacing the gasket.

Just because the IACV CEL came on, doesn't mean you need to replace the IACV. Search youtube for cleaning it.

Then no, they won't work. The manual D16Y7 uses a rotary, TB-mounted IACV. The Y8 uses a plunger, IM-mounted IACV.
