D16Y7 Help
I have a 97 CX hatch. I bought the car with 180,000 miles. Despite the large amount of miles the car was still very peppy even doing mini peelouts in 2nd gear. Several months later my distributor o ring goes bad and I get a CEL for misfires. Ive fixed the problem but ever since then my car seems to bog a little more. And when shifting, the car seems to jerk back and forth. What could be wrong? I oil change every 3k and changed the spark plug as well.

I would double check your timing. Also, what parts did you replace, just the o-ring?
I would have replaced the cap, rotor, wires and plugs.

Re: D16Y7 Help (.ken)
The loss in performance happend before I even found out about the oring. When I found out I changed the wires and oring it self. There was oil in the dizzy cap so I cleaned it out and checked back 2 months later it was still clean. Car runs fine but its the jerking when shifting gears that bothers me. I have to be more cautious with the clutch to avoid the jerking. And it bogs a little more too.
