Default D16Y7 head on D15B7 Block - head gasket question

I tried a search, and typed in several variations to no avail to answer this question. What head gasket will fit for this combo? Can I use the D16Y7 head gasket on the D15B7 block?

I want to order from Amazon... preferably a FelPro head gasket, but it comes with all the associated gaskets like the valve cover gasket, intake/exhaust mani gasket etc. Since I have a D16Y7 head, I'm going to want all those associated gaskets for it... however if the D16Y7 head gasket doesn't fit, I will have to order the D15B7 head gasket separately.

I'm hoping you all can answer my questions or point me in the right direction.

V/R

It's all interchangeable. People tend to recommend Z6/Y8 for the headgasket as it is MLS. Without actually comparing things side by side, I'd use whatever is meant for the Y7 just so you know the coolant ports are on the gasket are all correct (block doesn't matter because it's an open deck design). My guess right off hand is that the coolant ports are close enough to being the same, if not exactly the same, since people have been doing these head swaps for years without issue.

My question might seem dumb im on the way to the junkyard... i have a y7 head if i cant find a d15 block or d16 y7 block....what will happen if i get a y8 block with a y7 head....will it run?
