blown head gasket/warped head. Most likely one of the two or both. The white smoke is coolant getting into the cylinders.

Check your coolant levels often. If it gets low from burning it off, your temp gauge will show it.

Where did you get the motor from? Like said, sounds like the headgasket. If you are goign to replace the headgasket yourself go take the head to get resurfaced.

yea im not leaking coolant at all and actually i just put water in it for the first day to get it running i didnt have ne coolant and i didnt have a ride to go buy some... so would water make it smoke white? plus my radiator is still toped off and so is the resivor for it... the only thing that makes me edgy about it is my oil is burning cuz i filled it up twice and its at 1/2 again... i dont know where the engine came from my friend bought it from someone who had bought it from a junk yard... the tag on it said it was from a 96 civic something with 4*,*** miles on the odometer and stuff like that... im still leaking *something* from the exualst that looks and feels like oil but when i searched i read that its impossible for oil to make it to the end of the exualst, it would completly burn out before then or something like that... hell i was going to turbo the motor but i guess ill get the head shaved and a new headgasket and not worry about turboin this one... how much do most mechine shops usually run to get a head shaved and do you have to take out the internals?
at very first i noticed every where i parked i was leaking oil or something similar by the transmission on the block some where not the head tho because ive checked... but when i got under the car the WHOLE exualst all the way from the bottom under the oil pan to the very end was wet with something oily textured....
