d16y7 with d16z6 exhaust mani?
So, I have a 98' civic lx, d16y7. It's my daily so i'm not looking for power, just mileage. I've got my talon for that. :p Anyway, I was doing some maintenance and noticed a large crack around the upper o2 sensor in my exhaust manifold. I read that this is a fairly common issue. I asked around in the local car club, and one of the Honda guys offered me a d16z6 manifold for $10. I know that it'll bolt up to the engine, and delete the cat. My questions are these: Will it bolt to the stock d16y7 catback? and will I be able to run this manifold without throwing a code? I really don't care about emissions or sound. Would I be able to weld the y7 cat back into the exhaust so the downstream o2 sensor doesn't throw a code? what would be the best way to tackle this?

I am aware of this.. that's why the other one will delete the cat. I just need to know if it will bolt to the rest of the exhaust, after where my cat is now, and if it's possible to do so without throwing codes.

Oh snap I read it wrong, I assume you ask if the header would bolt up to the stock cat CONVERTER.
To rephrase the answer no it probably won't because you will need to trim the b-pipe and weld in a flang that will bolt up to the cat converter. The new one that is.
