They do fit, but are not the same injectors. I think the Y7s are 170-180 and the Y8 is a 240. Somebody help me out here.

I used to think the same thing, but there is a chart floating around here to prove otherwise. I've also compared the two, and they are not the same injectors.

Yeah, I've torn apart a few D series intake mani's (and found out some little stuff like this the hard way), but somebody throw that chart up...I'm having trouble finding it.

Go with the EX injectors. I put the ex injectors in when I did my y8 intake mani swap, and it was running rich, but now I'm b00sted and appreciate the y8 injectors. If you have a VAFC or something to tune it down, run the y8 injectors and tune it. If not I would run the y8 injectors just to be safe anyway.

So isn't it true that the ecu determines if your cars runs rich or lean no matter what the injector size is? And that the bigger injector you have the lower the duty cycle which is less strain on the injector? I know bigger injectors flow more fuel but I thought it was dependant on the ecu.

Let me ask something within the same question....do you think it's wise to put a 300+cc injector in with a stock(well kind of built) D16Y8? Because I was thinking of doing it later on.

There is no need for more injector on a d16y8 unless you are spraying or boosting.
