Ok I've posted similar to this post not to long ago & was just thinking of swapping to a b motor but my y5 motor is overheating, well when I start it it turns on just fine, even after it reaches normal running temp it runs fine but once driven longer than a hr n a hlf it starts over heating to the point of boiling and pushing all the coolant to the res tank. I've also felt my top rad hose and literally can, feel the boiling in it...
I've done research on it and they say that since the heads are cast aluminum even with a worped head and a head gasket blown specially from the exhaust side that it'll run normal until it builds enough pressure & gets plenty warm to where the metals expand then it starts letting that presser enter the cooling system, plus when it gets to that overheating point my throttle idles around 1k and after 2nd fear I get really really poor throttle response and won't rev up even if I floor it.. So here's my goals/questions..

Since I'm gonna take my head off I'm just gonna go with a mini me swap with a y8 head.. From my understanding all I'm going to need is the whole y8 head complete, intake, dizzy, cam fear, ect... Along with the ex ecu and wiring harness & the o2 censor.. What else would I need to get it going and running? Is the timing the same as the hx?
Any help/advise to get it going the right way would be greatly appreciated...

Oh & also should I check the block for anything due to the overheating & 240,000+ miles on it?
