Hey, I am looking into doing this. I have a 00 d16y5, and I'm thinking about doing a d16z head. I have a few questions that I have not been able to answer even after searching. If I were to do this, what kind of timing belt would I need? Also If I decided to go with a d16y8 head, what kind of problems would I run into, it would fit right one, would it not? Also keep in mind that I will be turboing this as soon as I get it done. I have an apexi turbo kit sitten right next to me, which I will be running the hack on. Any help would be great. Z6 timing belt
Y8 would bolt on. With either of these swaps, you need to re-wire a new Primary O2 (HX = wideband primary O2).

As far as I know it will fit, although I am not 100% sure about a Y5 motor.

You will want to get the Z6/Y8 intake manifold as well.

I think the Y8 head flows a little better or something like that but marginal gains.

What did the y5 come in and whats it rated at? I don't hear much about it so I'm not too familiar with it.
