Default d16a6 in EG

My friend has the chance to acquire a freshly rebuilt d16a6 longblock from another one of my friends for dirt cheap to put in his vx...he also has a z6 head laying in his garage and an si tranny too..would this be beneficial?? he plans on buying it and building it for all motor in the winter and installing it in the spring...i know he needs to look out for the obd0-obd1 but is there anything else to look out for? thanks guys

hmmmm sounds like a good plan and yah the obd stuff would be nice.
be on the lookout for using obd1 parts and not accidentally obd0
