d16a6 crankshaft fit a d16y8?

does anyone know if a si d16a6 crankshaft will fit in a d16y8 and if it does do i have to do anything to make it fit

I HAVE NEVER PERSONALLY TRY IT. BUT FROM MY POINT OF VIEW I THINK IT WOULD FIT SINCE THEY ARE BOTH 1.6.

check the crankshaft end play and if they are the same then it should be a direct fit

oh and make sure the stroke is the same as the y8 crank. and make sure the main bearing size is the same. if its too big then your screwed but if its too small then depending on how small it is you can get oversized bearings
